Canon-compliant through 1x11, although I imagine at some point subsequent events will render it non-compliant. Major spoilers for 1x07, "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter."
Summary: The Queen knows what love is.

AO3 link here.

( Do you know what love is? )

Afterword: This story has been growing in me ever since watching the pilot. That last scene of the pilot, you see, made an impact on me. Because whatever you think of the mechanics of how Storybrooke exists in our world, it's true that Regina has changed every diaper and soothed every fever for Henry. For ten years. All by herself, pretty much, I imagine. And where I come from... that's a reasonable definition of love. Now what Regina thinks of it... that's another story. The one above, in fact. And where did she get such a warped concept from? Probably from her own parents, no?

comments
