Dear not-primetime 2012

Thank you for writing me a fic! I am so excited to get a fic in any of these fandoms!
Once Upon a Time (Baelfire, Gold): The biggest relationship of Rumpel/Gold's life is Baelfire -- there's a huge tension there between what Rumpel/Gold is doing to reach Bae and what Bae would be happy with his father doing, and I'd love to see fic that engages with that question, however subtly. Anything from a plotty tale to a snippet of their relationship or perhaps eventual reunion would be lovely -- as long as there's some thought put into how complex it is likely to be for them.
I'd really adore it forever if there wasn't an easy ending for Gold -- I'm a sucker for redemptive endings, and I wouldn't at all mind Gold getting redeemed (especially since I'm a sucker for parent-child happy reunions), but he's done so many awful things, and has had his mind so thoroughly twisted over the years, that he'd have to work for a happy ending, and I want to see that work being put in -- how does Gold turn back from the sort of person who tortures Moe French to the generous sheep farmer Bae longs for? Does he even want to? I'd rather not have Rumbelle fic for this, please, unless it can be done in such a way as to give center stage to the Gold-Bae relationship.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Kira, Garak): My favorite interaction in DS9, which abounds in awesome relationships/interactions, was between Kira and Garak in the last season -- they made such a crackling team, with Kira's distrust for Cardassians in general and distrust of Garak in particular, and Garak's, well, distrust of everyone -- and yet they have this respect for each other that is almost like friendship, not least because both of them are crazy competent at what they do, and also because they both have specific personality strengths. I would absolutely love to see a plotty tale where their strengths and competencies (and snarkiness!) work together, or a snippet where they learn things about each other (and get to snark, of course!). I'd really rather not see them in a romantic relationship, because I don't think that works with their characters.
I love DS9 for how all the characters kind of distrust each other at the start and yet by the end have forged this community out of their shared experiences, and how DS9 balances darkness and light. I love all the interactions between characters, I love how it isn't all sunshine and rainbows between the characters and yet they work together as a team, and I especially love Kira for being the awesome extremely-competent, thoroughly-grounded, strong, happy character that she is.
Vorkosigan Saga (Ekaterin, Illyan, Ivan, Gregor): I would love for Ekaterin to be the hero of her own tale instead of just Mrs. Auditor-Wife-and-Mother, but really, anything where you can get my four favorite characters together, however you can, and acting in their own awesome ways (Ekaterin being understatedly competent, Illyan being loyal and super-analytic, Gregor bearing the weight of being the Emperor, and Ivan being, well, Ivan), is good in my book -- I'm not even how this would be done (which is why I'm asking for it); surprise me!
I adore the Vorkosigan books for their relationships, the characters, the way they engage with all kinds of questions (scientific, moral, cultural...), their plottiness, and their humor. Ekaterin, Illyan, Ivan, and Gregor are all characters I love but who don't always get to take center stage because they mostly exist in relation to Miles; I'd be happy with a fic with any one of these characters getting to shine, honestly. I have read Captain Vorpatril's Alliance and loved it (except for the lack of Ekaterin); anything from CVA is fair game, although of course if you haven't read it that's okay too!
General: I love plotty fic because I can't write it myself, but by the same token I know it is hard to write and I certainly don't expect it. I love character-driven fic that thinks hard about the ramifications of characters' actions (particularly the ones that aren't savory). I love and adore friendship/partnerships, especially platonic ones, of all gender-variety. I am more a fan of gen than anything else, and also a fan of canon pairings, but I'm open to both het and slash (though I'll probably skim over anything really explicit, unless it plays into character or plot development). I like darkfic, although not for ST:DS9 or these particular Vorkosigan characters because I care about them too much (for OUAT, though, feel free!)
